A New Design History
In response to the lack of Black representation in the design industry, I created a series of 3 8-fold publications featuring short biographies of Black designers and their works. The aim of this project was to acknowledge the Black creatives in design history and showcase their works and contributions to positive Black narratives in advertising.
These publications are designed to unfold from A4 size into A1 posters, with the main contents of the publication on one side and a full sized poster of the designer’s work on the back. The finish of each publication is in the style of risograph printing, achieved using Adobe Photoshop.
This project was also featured in Design Week's Favourite projects from graduate season.
